Case management and processing is a major component of photo enforcement, yet many authorities still rely on fragmented and complex systems that are costly and labour-intensive to manage. Being able to seamlessly handle every stage of a photo enforcement violation – with minimal human input – provides organisations with significant cost and operational advantages.
Photo enforcement systems are configured to capture vehicle compliance, such as red light, speed and average speed offences. However, the processing of these incidents is labor-intensive, subject to human error and involves complex and sometimes conflicting sets of rules. The costs associated with keeping multiple processing platforms and systems operational is also high – this becomes even more challenging as advanced technology is introduced into the photo enforcement ecosystem.
Alcyon is a cloud-based platform that allows organisations to streamline, manage and handle photo enforcement cases more effectively. The system has an intuitive user interface and can be viewed on desktops, tablets and smartphones, making it accessible for a range of applications from back office operations (via desktops) to use by law enforcement officers in the field (via tablets and smartphones).
Captured incidents are imported into Redflex’s Alcyon platform where cases are created, ready for verification and adjudication by back office operators.
Alcyon is vendor agnostic, meaning that irrespective of the source system (e.g. Redflex or another vendors camera), Alcyon can translate the source system data and media for processing of the enforcement data.
